BrightDrop EVs will be getting AI safety systems from Nauto.
BrightDrop just announced a new collaborative effort with Nauto, a California-based provider of advanced driver assistance technology and driver monitoring systems. The collaboration will provide commercial fleet customers with access to Nauto’s predictive AI safety systems in an effort to improve driver safety performance, reduce collision loss, and save lives.
BrightDrop’s primary focus is on the development and deployment of all-electric technologies for the commercial delivery segment. As Nauto points out, safety is a considerable concern in the last-mile delivery segment, as it frequently requires that drivers execute high-risk start, stop, and reverse maneuvers in challenging environments, including urban streets, residential neighborhoods, and crowded parking lots.
